Highsentiment is a term used in data analysis and natural language processing to describe text or signals that exhibit a high degree of emotional intensity, commonly on the positive end of the affect spectrum but can also denote strong negative emotion. In practice, highsentiment is quantified by sentiment analyses that assign a numeric score capturing valence and sometimes arousal. Many systems use a scale from -1 to 1 or 0 to 1; highsentiment is typically defined as scores above a chosen threshold, for example greater than 0.7 on a -1 to 1 scale, or above 0.8 on a 0 to 1 scale.
