hidrogenkötéseken
Hidrogénkötéseken, often translated as hydrogen bonding, is a specific type of non-covalent intermolecular force that occurs between molecules. It is a particularly strong dipole-dipole interaction that arises when a hydrogen atom is bonded to a highly electronegative atom, such as oxygen, nitrogen, or fluorine. This electronegative atom strongly attracts the electron density away from the hydrogen, leaving the hydrogen atom with a partial positive charge. This partially positive hydrogen atom can then be attracted to a lone pair of electrons on a nearby electronegative atom of another molecule.
Hydrogen bonds play a crucial role in determining the physical and chemical properties of many substances.
