Heterotsüklilisest refers to a class of organic compounds characterized by the presence of a ring structure where at least one atom in the ring is an element other than carbon. These non-carbon atoms are called heteroatoms and commonly include nitrogen, oxygen, or sulfur. The term "heterotsüklilisest" is the Estonian word for heterocyclic.
