Heledusväärtused, often translated as luminance values, refer to the measure of the perceived brightness of a light source or a surface. In various scientific and technical contexts, heledusväärtused quantify how much light is emitted or reflected. The human visual system perceives brightness in a logarithmic manner, meaning that a doubling of physical light intensity does not necessarily result in a perceived doubling of brightness.
