Haors are large, bowl-shaped floodplain wetlands located in the northeastern region of Bangladesh. They span parts of Sylhet, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Sunamganj, and Kishoreganj districts and are part of the Meghna and Surma-Kushiyara river basins.
