Hadoneina is a genus of fossil arthropods belonging to the family Hadoneinidae, within the extinct order Paleomerda. These ancient creatures lived during the Early Cambrian period, approximately 520 to 518 million years ago. Hadoneina fossils are primarily found in the Kaili Formation of China, a globally significant Lagerstätte for preserving early Cambrian marine life.

The defining characteristic of Hadoneina is its segmented body, typically consisting of around 12-15 segments. Each segment bore a pair of appendages, though their exact function remains a subject of scientific study. The body was generally elongated and flattened, with a distinct head region that likely housed sensory organs. Some interpretations suggest that Hadoneina possessed a relatively simple, unmineralized exoskeleton.

The ecological role of Hadoneina is not fully understood due to the limited fossil record. However, based on its morphology and the paleoenvironment it inhabited, it is thought to have been a benthic organism, likely dwelling on or just below the seafloor. Its feeding habits are speculative, but possibilities include detritivory or scavenging.
