Grafiikkaliitännät are ports on a computer or other electronic device that allow for the connection of a display. Historically, various graphics connectors have been developed and widely adopted. The Video Graphics Array (VGA) port, a legacy analog interface, was once the standard for connecting monitors. However, its analog nature limits resolution and picture clarity compared to modern digital standards. Digital Visual Interface (DVI) emerged as an improvement, offering both analog and digital signal transmission, though it has largely been superseded by newer technologies.

Currently, the most prevalent graphics interfaces are High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and DisplayPort. HDMI is commonly found on consumer electronics like televisions and game consoles, supporting high-definition video and multi-channel audio over a single cable. DisplayPort is favored in the computing industry, offering higher bandwidth, support for higher resolutions and refresh rates, and features like daisy-chaining multiple monitors. USB-C ports are also increasingly incorporating graphics capabilities, allowing a single port to handle data, power, and video output through technologies like DisplayPort Alternate Mode. The choice of graphics port can significantly impact the visual experience and connectivity options of a device.
