getsuyoubi

Getsuyoubi is the Japanese word for Monday. The name translates to "Moon Day" and is derived from the moon, just as the English word Monday is. In the Japanese seven-day week system, getsuyoubi is the first day of the week. It follows nichiyoubi (Sunday) and precedes kayoubi (Tuesday).
