Geofüüsikalised is an Estonian term used to describe things that are geophysically oriented or produced through geophysical methods. The word combines geofüüsika (geophysics) with the suffix -lised, which marks a state, characteristic, or process. In practice, geofüüsikalised can refer to data, studies, projects, or results that rely on geophysical techniques to investigate the Earth’s subsurface.

Geofüüsikalised investigations aim to characterize physical properties such as density, elastic wave velocity, electrical conductivity, magnetism, and moisture content without or with minimal drilling. Common methods include seismic reflection and refraction, gravity and magnetic surveys, electrical resistivity tomography, magnetotellurics, ground-penetrating radar, and borehole logging. The data from these methods are interpreted using geological models to infer subsurface structure, composition, and fluid content.

Applications span many fields. In mineral and oil exploration, geofüüsikalised surveys help locate deposits. In hydrogeology and environmental studies, they map aquifers and monitor contamination. In civil engineering, they support site characterization and risk assessment for construction. Archaeology, forestry, and planetary science also employ geophysical approaches categorized as geofüüsikalised when the emphasis is on subsurface properties revealed by geophysical data.

Advantages of geofüüsikalised methods include non-invasive data collection, broad spatial coverage, and rapid assessment of large areas. Limitations involve resolution constraints, non-uniqueness of interpretations, and the need for integration with geological information and other data sources to achieve robust conclusions.
