Gascykler, also known as gas-powered bicycles or motorized bicycles, are human-powered bicycles retrofitted with a small internal combustion engine. These engines typically displace between 20cc and 80cc and are designed to assist pedaling, not replace it entirely. The engine is usually mounted above the front wheel or on the frame. Fuel and oil are mixed and stored in a small fuel tank, also typically mounted on the frame. A throttle control, usually a hand lever or twist grip, is used to regulate the engine speed.

The concept of motorized bicycles dates back to the early 20th century, with various designs and manufacturers emerging over the years. Gascykler experienced a resurgence in popularity in the late 20th and early 21st centuries as an alternative to mopeds and scooters, offering a perceived simpler and more economical mode of motorized transport. They are often seen as a way to extend the range and reduce the physical effort required for cycling.

Operationally, a gascykel can be propelled by pedaling alone, by the engine alone, or by a combination of both.
