Galvánélek, also known as galvanized poles, are steel poles that have undergone a process of hot-dip galvanization. This process involves immersing the steel in a bath of molten zinc, creating a protective coating that is bonded metallurgically to the steel. This zinc coating acts as a sacrificial barrier, corroding preferentially to the steel, thereby significantly extending the pole's lifespan.

The primary advantage of galvánélek is their superior corrosion resistance compared to uncoated steel.
