Fujimorismo refers to the political movement and ideology associated with Alberto Fujimori, who served as President of Peru from 1990 to 2000. It is characterized by a blend of neoliberal economic policies, authoritarian tendencies, and a strong focus on combating terrorism and corruption. During his presidency, Fujimori implemented significant economic reforms, including privatization of state-owned enterprises and fiscal austerity measures, which were credited by supporters with stabilizing the Peruvian economy. Politically, Fujimorismo is often described as populist and pragmatic. Fujimori dissolved Congress in 1992, a move
