A froglet is a juvenile frog. It is the stage of a frog's life cycle that occurs after metamorphosis is complete and before it becomes a fully adult frog. During the froglet stage, the animal has typically lost its external gills and developed lungs for breathing air. Its tail, which was present in the tadpole stage, is also usually reabsorbed or significantly reduced by this point. Froglets often still possess a noticeably larger abdomen relative to their body size compared to adult frogs, which is a remnant of their aquatic larval phase and stored nutrients.

Froglets are generally found in similar habitats to adult frogs, often near water sources like ponds, streams, and wetlands. They are capable of terrestrial movement and foraging for small insects and other invertebrates, though they may still be more vulnerable to predators than their adult counterparts. The size of a froglet varies greatly depending on the species, ranging from just a few millimeters to several centimeters in length. This transitional phase is crucial for the frog's survival as it adapts to a semi-aquatic or terrestrial lifestyle, growing and maturing into a reproductive adult.
