Fridag is a Swedish noun meaning a day off or a day of rest. It denotes a day when a person is not scheduled to work or attend duty. The term is formed from fri meaning free and dag meaning day.

In contemporary Swedish, fridag is relatively uncommon in everyday speech and is more often found in historical, administrative, or institutional contexts. It can describe a scheduled non-working day within a work roster, a school timetable, or a personal leave day. In calendar contexts, it is often contrasted with helg (the regular weekend rest) and with röd dag (a public holiday).
