Frecvenele is the Romanian term used to refer to frequencies—the rates at which periodic events occur per unit of time. In signals and waves, frecvenele describe the distribution of cycles per second and define characteristics such as the pitch of a sound, the carrier of a radio signal, or the oscillation of an electronic circuit.

Frequency f is measured in hertz (Hz). The basic relations include f = 1/T, where T is the period, and ω = 2πf, the angular frequency. Frequencies can be continuous, as in analog signals, or discrete, as in sampled data. A signal may contain multiple frecvenele, which contribute to its overall shape and behavior.

Analysis and measurement: Fourier analysis decomposes a signal into its frequency components; the resulting spectrum shows how power or amplitude is distributed across frecvenele.
