Fotografije is the plural noun used in Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian and Montenegrin to refer to images created by recording light with a camera. The singular form is fotografija. The term is broadly synonymous with photographs or pictures in English and is used in both everyday language and formal contexts, including museums, archives, and media.

Origin and etymology: fotografija comes from Greek photos "light" and graphein "to write," via international forms of photography. Fotografije as a word rose with the adoption of photography in these languages in the 19th and 20th centuries.
