Formuese is a constructed language conceived to integrate mathematical formulas directly into natural-language prose. It combines linguistic syntax with symbolic notation so mathematical ideas can be expressed compactly within sentences.

Formuese was developed by researchers in linguistics and computer science as an experimental medium. It aims to support clearer documentation of proofs, pedagogy, and computational reasoning. It is used in theoretical discussions, educational tools, and speculative fiction to illustrate formal thinking.

Phonology and writing: Formuese commonly uses a Latin-based phonology with a modest set of vowels and consonants, augmented by diacritics to indicate stress or boundary signals around formulas. The writing system supports inline formulas using standard math syntax, with formula delimiters that separate natural-language segments from formulas. The approach favors readability, allowing readers to parse prose and formulas without switching too many modes of observation.

Grammar and usage: The language is largely analytic, relying on word order and function words to convey relations.
