Foreandaftrigged is a term used in sailing to describe a specific configuration of the mast and sails on a two-masted vessel. In this arrangement, the aft mast, which is located behind the main mast, is taller than the forward mast. This differs from a ketch rig, where the aft mast is shorter, and a yawl rig, where the aft mast is significantly shorter and often referred to as an mizzenmast.
The foreandaftrigged design places the larger sail area on the aft mast, contributing to a different balance
