Foamcreating refers to the deliberate production of foams by introducing gas into a liquid, paste, or soft solid in a controlled manner, and to the stabilization of the resulting cellular structure. It encompasses a range of methods across culinary, industrial, and scientific settings, and relies on both physical aeration and chemical blowing processes.

Common methods include mechanical agitation (whipping, beating, or blending) to entrain air; sparging or gas injection in mixers and reactors; and chemical foaming where gas is generated in situ from blowing agents or reactions. Stabilization typically uses surface-active agents such as surfactants, proteins, or polymers, and can employ solid particles to hinder bubble coalescence (Pickering stabilization).
