flyghöjd
Flyghöjd refers to the altitude at which an aircraft is flying. It is typically measured in feet above mean sea level (AMSL) or sometimes above ground level (AGL). Different types of flight operate at different altitudes. For instance, commercial airliners often cruise at altitudes between 30,000 and 40,000 feet, a range known as the tropopause. This altitude is chosen for several reasons, including fuel efficiency due to thinner air offering less drag, and to avoid weather phenomena such as thunderstorms which are more common at lower altitudes.
Military aircraft may operate at a wide range of flyghöjder, from very low altitudes for tactical maneuvers
Air traffic control systems manage the flyghöjd of aircraft to ensure safe separation and prevent collisions.
