Floorstorey is not a standard architectural term. In practice, the level concept is usually expressed as storey (British English) or story (American English). The word floor more often refers to the actual horizontal surface you walk on, or, informally, to a level of a building. A building is divided into multiple storeys stacked vertically, with each storey containing spaces such as rooms, corridors, and amenities, bounded by a floor slab above and a ceiling below.
A storey is typically defined by its floor-to-floor height, the structural floor system, and its enclosing walls.
