A flipchart is a portable presentation aid consisting of a padded pad of large paper sheets attached to a stand or easel. The top of the pad is bound so pages can be flipped forward to reveal new content. Variants range from traditional paper flipcharts and dry-erase flipcharts to wall-mounted or tabletop formats. Digital or electronic flip charts mimic the page-turning idea using tablets or dedicated devices, allowing pages to be saved, shared, or projected to a screen.

Maintenance involves keeping markers capped and markers clean, replacing used paper sheets, and storing the stand in a dry place. Best practices include writing legibly, using short, concise lines, and ensuring good visibility for the audience.
