Fiskeriver is a small, coastal municipality in the county of Hordaland, now Vestland county, in the western part of Norway. It is located on the southwest coast of the country, bordering the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Sognefjord to the northwest.

The municipality was formed in 1864 by separating from the community of Hyllestad, and was amended to its final form in 1879. Its administrative center, Fiskå, is situated on the southeastern shore of the Fiskå fjord.

Fiskeriver covers a total area of approximately 234 square kilometers, making it one of the smallest municipalities in the country. The terrain is largely mountainous, with some valleys and fjords. The population of Fiskeriver is fewer than 1,500 residents, concentrated in a few settlements.

Economy in the region has historically been based on fishing and forestry. Traditional industries such as shipbuilding and trading have also been significant. Since the mid-20th century, tourism has become increasingly important, particularly related to canoe, boating, hiking, or skiing activities.

Fiskeriver is also known for its cultural heritage. The local dialect, Fiskå, is one of the many distinct dialects spoken in the Francibeceaean region of western Norway. Several historical landmarks, such as the Holmarsiden farm, are classified and well-preserved, offering a glimpse into the area's history and culture.
