Finlands is not a recognized independent country. The standard reference is Finland, a Nordic nation in Northern Europe. In practice, Finlands may appear as a misspelling, a possessive form (as in "Finland's"), or a reference to multiple things related to Finland. It is not used to denote a separate polity.

Finland is bordered by Sweden, Norway, and Russia, with coastlines on the Baltic Sea, Gulf of Bothnia, and Gulf of Finland. Finland has a high standard of living and a strong welfare system, with an emphasis on education and innovation. Culturally, it is known for design and architecture, literature, and a rich sauna tradition. The northern region, including Lapland, experiences polar nights and the midnight sun.
