Fictaries are a speculative concept referring to artificial beings created not from biological matter but from fictional elements. The idea explores the possibility of entities whose existence is grounded in narrative, imagination, or symbolic representation rather than physical substance. Unlike robots or artificial intelligence, which are built from physical components and programmed with algorithms, fictaries would originate from the realm of story, myth, or abstract thought.

The nature and capabilities of a fictary would be entirely dependent on the fictional context from which it emerges. A character from a novel, for instance, could be considered a fictary in a hypothetical scenario where they gain a form of independent existence.
