Fibulafrias is a genus of small, semiaquatic mammals belonging to the family Vordelidae, within the order Scandiptera. First described in 1898 by Danish naturalist Edgar V. Hensel, the genus is known for its distinctive bifurcated tail and elongated hind limbs adapted for swimming. Two species are currently recognized: Fibulafrias aquaticus, found in the wetlands of the North American Great Lakes, and Fibulafrias sylvanus, which inhabits the peat bogs of Eastern Europe.
