feldfield is a rural locality and small village in the central lowlands of Veridia, within the Northfield District. The settlement has an agricultural character and a small service sector; as of 2023, its population was about 1,150. The name derives from the surrounding fields, with feld meaning field in the local language.

It sits on a flat, loamy plain, bordered by hedgerows, with a temperate climate. The Feld River runs nearby, supporting irrigation.

The first documentary reference dates to the mid-13th century, with a manor and parish church indicating medieval settlement. Growth accelerated in the 19th century with the arrival of a light railway and dairy farming; postwar modernization did not produce rapid population expansion.

Economy and governance: Feldfield relies on agriculture—cereal grains and dairy—and light manufacturing for agricultural equipment. Tourism centers on rural landscapes, walking trails, and seasonal markets. The village is administered by a local council within the Northfield municipal framework. It is connected by regional roads and bus services; the nearest rail link is in a larger town about 12 to 15 kilometers away.

Culture and landmarks: A 14th-century parish church, St. Michael’s, stands at the village core, alongside a restored windmill used as a cultural venue. An annual Field Day festival celebrates farming heritage.
