fantastické

fantastické is a Czech adjective meaning "fantastic" or "extraordinary". It is the neuter or plural form of the adjective fantasticí, agreeing with nouns of neuter gender or in plural. The word is used to describe something that is exceptionally impressive or imaginative, often in a positive sense. For example, фантастické příběhy = fantastic stories, фантастické filmy = fantastic films.

Etymologically, fantastické derives from the Czech noun fantazie (fantasy) and is ultimately borrowed from Latin fantasticus, which in turn comes from Greek phantasia, meaning “appearance” or “illusion”. The suffix –ické is a common Czech adjective ending that characterizes adjectives of neutral or plural gender.

The adjective is frequently found in both colloquial speech and literary contexts.
