Eucrocodyliforms represent a diverse clade of extinct archosaurian reptiles that flourished during the Mesozoic Era. This group includes a wide array of crocodilians and their close relatives, encompassing both terrestrial and aquatic forms. Eucrocodyliforms first appeared in the Late Triassic period and diversified significantly throughout the Jurassic and Cretaceous, eventually giving rise to modern crocodilians.

Members of this clade exhibit a broad range of morphologies and ecological niches. Some eucrocodylians were relatively small and bipedal, while others evolved into large, formidable predators. Their diets varied, with evidence suggesting some were primarily piscivorous, while others were likely terrestrial hunters of other reptiles and mammals. While many eucrocodylian lineages went extinct by the end of the Cretaceous, a significant radiation of crocodyliforms survived the K-Pg extinction event, leading to the extant crocodilians we know today, such as crocodiles, alligators, and gharials.
