Epäjalostuneet isä Finnish term used in biology, agriculture, and conservation to describe organisms that have not undergone deliberate human-driven breeding to enhance specific traits. The opposite, jalostuneet, refers to domesticated or selectively bred populations. Epäjalostuneet populations may be wild populations of plants and animals or domesticated populations that have not been intensively improved through breeding programs. The term is commonly used when discussing genetic resources, crop wild relatives, and in situ conservation.

In practice, epäjalostuneet populations often retain higher genetic diversity and a broader repertoire of adaptive traits than highly bred varieties.
