enthaltet

Enthaltet is a finite form of the German verb enthalten, which means to contain or to comprise. The verb contains the prefix ent- attached to halten (to hold), giving the sense of holding something inside or including it within something else. In standard usage, enthalten is used to express that a substance, a text, a list, or another object includes certain parts or elements.

Conjugation and forms. Containing the essential meaning, enthalten is irregular in its present and past tense forms. The common, modern examples of mantener the idea are sentences like Der Bericht enthält mehrere Kapitel (The report contains several chapters) or Der Bericht hat mehrere Kapitel enthalten (The report has contained several chapters).
