Enhedslogin is a centralized authentication service used by the Danish public sector to provide citizens and organizations with single sign-on to a broad set of online public services. It forms part of Denmark's public digital infrastructure and acts as the identity layer for many e-services, including citizen portals such as Borger.dk, health portals like Sundhed.dk, tax and welfare services, and municipal services. Through Enhedslogin, a user can authenticate once and receive tokens accepted by participating applications, enabling access without maintaining separate credentials for each service.

The system is operated by the Danish Agency for Digitisation (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen) and is designed to work with national identity solutions such as NemID and its successor MitID, as well as other approved authentication methods. Enhedslogin emphasizes strong authentication, privacy protections, and consent-based data sharing, aligning with GDPR and Danish data protection standards.

In practice, Enhedslogin provides the authentication layer and, in many cases, part of the authorization flow for public services; individual services enforce their own role-based access within the context of the tokens issued by Enhedslogin. The architecture typically relies on centralized identity services that delegate authentication to trusted identity providers while preserving user privacy.
