Effektspektraltätheten, often abbreviated as Power Spectral Density (PSD), is a measure used in signal processing and physics to describe how the power of a signal or a stochastic process is distributed over frequency. For example, if the signal is measured in volts and frequency in Hertz, the PSD would typically be in volts squared per Hertz.

The concept of PSD is fundamental for understanding the frequency content of noisy signals, random processes, and fluctuating phenomena.
