eSIMn

Key features associated with the concept include multiple profiles per device, cross-operator portability, faster and more flexible provisioning, offline profile caching for resilience, and enhanced user privacy controls over how and when profiles are activated. Security considerations emphasize robust attestation, cryptographic revocation mechanisms, and granular access controls to minimize exposure during profile transitions.

Standards and adoption status: as of now, eSIMn is not an official standard. It is discussed in speculative or conceptual contexts and would need alignment with established eSIM frameworks (such as GSMA specifications) or new standardization efforts in the future. Potential use cases include smartphones, wearables, IoT devices, and enterprise equipment requiring frequent operator changes or enhanced portability.
