Dózissémák, often translated as dosage regimens, refer to the prescribed patterns of how a medication is administered over time. This includes the specific dose, the frequency of administration (e.g., once daily, twice daily), and the duration of treatment. The goal of a well-designed dózisséma is to achieve and maintain therapeutic concentrations of a drug in the body to effectively treat a condition while minimizing the risk of adverse effects. Factors influencing the choice of a dózisséma include the drug's pharmacokinetic properties, such as its absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion, as well as the patient's individual characteristics, including age, weight, kidney and liver function, and the severity of their illness.
Different types of dózissémák exist. A loading dose, for instance, may be given at the beginning of
