Drukmanometers are instruments used to measure the pressure of gases or liquids in a system. They provide a direct indication of pressure, typically on a dial, enabling operators to monitor and regulate processes.

Most drukmanometers operate with a deformable sensing element and a mechanical linkage that moves a pointer. The element is usually a Bourdon tube, a flexible diaphragm, or a bellows; internal pressure causes deformation, which is converted into visible displacement or, in electronic variants, a digital signal.

Common types include Bourdon tube gauges for general purpose use, diaphragm gauges for low pressures and corrosive media, and capsule gauges for compact, low-range measurement. Bellows gauges offer high sensitivity. Readouts are in units such as pascal, bar, or psi, and many devices allow different process connections and wetted materials.

Applications span process industries, HVAC, hydraulics, and laboratory work. Most gauges provide mechanical reading, while many are paired with electronic transducers for data logging or remote monitoring. Accuracy classes typically range from 1.0 to 2.5, depending on design and use.

Maintenance includes periodic calibration, inspection for leaks, and replacement of damaged parts. Variants exist for hazardous environments, including explosion-proof and intrinsically safe designs.
