Drcením is the Czech term for the mechanical reduction of materials into smaller pieces, commonly translated as crushing or pulverization. The word is a form of drcení, with drcením used to designate the method itself in technical texts. It denotes the early stage of material preparation in many industries, from mining to food processing.

Methods and equipment. Drcení uses forces such as compression, impact, or shear.
