A doorstop is an object used to hold a door open or closed. They come in various shapes, sizes, and materials, including rubber, wood, metal, and plastic. Magnetic doorstops combine a magnet with a keeper plate, allowing the door to be held open until a deliberate pull overcomes the magnetic force.
