Diéderövek, also known as *Diederik Rövekamp*, was a Dutch historian and medievalist whose work significantly contributed to the study of medieval intellectual history, particularly in the fields of monasticism and the history of ideas. Born on October 22, 1930, in Amsterdam, Rövekamp earned his Ph.D. from the University of Utrecht in 1960, where he later became a professor of medieval history.
