Disiplinor is a term used to describe a person or system tasked with maintaining discipline within a group or organization. It is a neologism formed from the root disiplina (discipline) and the agent suffix -or, analogous to disciplinarian. The term is not tied to a single country or language and may appear in discussions of governance, education, or organizational design as a generic label for discipline-enforcing roles or mechanisms.

As a role, a disiplinor can be a human actor—such as a teacher, supervisor, compliance officer, or moderator—who establishes rules, observes behavior, and applies sanctions or corrective actions to promote adherence to codes of conduct. In systems design or policy contexts, the term can also describe a disciplinary mechanism: a set of rules, monitoring tools, feedback loops, and consequences that guide behavior without necessarily naming an individual.

Contexts: In education, disiplinors help manage classroom behavior and safety. In the workplace, they may correspond to compliance or HR officers enforcing policies. In digital platforms, moderation systems and automated enforcement can function as disiplinors. In sports, team rules and coaching staff perform similar roles.

Considerations include fairness, transparency, proportionality of sanctions, and due process. Critics argue that excessive or opaque disciplinary practices can undermine trust, whereas well-defined routines can improve safety and performance.
