diastereomerically
The term diastereomerically is an adverb derived from the noun diastereomers, which are stereoisomers that are not related by a mirror image. In stereochemistry, two (or more) molecules that share a common carbon skeleton yet differ in the spatial arrangement of at least one stereocenter and are not enantiomers are called diastereomers. When an observation, measurement, or reaction is described as occurring diastereomerically it means that it is specific to or is characteristic of one or more of these distinct stereochemical forms rather than being applicable to a racemic mixture or to a single enantiomer.
Diastereomerically is commonly used in discussions of NMR chemical shifts, optical rotation values, and reaction selectivities
