descentO

DescentO is a term used in discussions of ontology-driven modeling of genealogical descent. It refers to a framework that combines an ontology with algorithms to represent and reason about lineages in populations.

The name fuses descent, referring to ancestral lineage, with ontology, a formal representation of concepts and relationships.
