dAuge is a fictional city-state and autonomous region in the archipelago of the Brine Isles in the fantasy world of Therath. It functions as a major maritime trading hub and cultural crossroads. The etymology of the name is uncertain; one tradition links it to an indigenous word for harbor, while another suggests a medieval scribe's adaptation.

Geographically, dAuge sits at the head of Neris Bay, sheltered by reefs and connected to land routes by causeways. The urban core rises on a natural plateau above the harbor. The hinterland supports fisheries and small-scale agriculture. The population is diverse, with roughly 90,000 to 120,000 residents.

Historically a fishing outpost, dAuge grew into a trading city under regional leagues and gained de facto autonomy in the late medieval period. It was formally recognized as a sovereign city-state in the early 15th century. The government is a constitutional republic with a Mayor and a bi-cameral City Council; the judiciary is independent, and maritime custom guides certain commercial practices.

The economy centers on shipbuilding, repair, fisheries, and transshipment. The port handles goods between inland regions and distant realms. Culturally, dAuge is known for sea festivals, a bilingual culture featuring dAugean and a common trade language, and crafts such as net-weaving and brasswork.
