Phenol is a key ingredient in the production of phenolic resins, bisphenol A, and caprolactam. Acetone is a widely used solvent and is also employed in the production of plastics and other chemicals.

Cumen is also used as a solvent and as an additive in fuels. It has a relatively high flash point and boiling point, making it suitable for certain industrial applications. Due to its flammability, cumen should be handled with care and stored in well-ventilated areas away from ignition sources.
