Coperpetrators are individuals who, acting together, commit a crime. This concept, often referred to as joint criminal enterprise or common purpose, means that each person involved can be held responsible for the entire criminal act, even if they did not personally carry out every element of the offense. The key element is a shared intention or agreement to commit the crime. This agreement can be express or implied, and it does not require extensive planning. Simply being present and supporting the criminal activity, with knowledge and intent, can be sufficient to establish coperpetration.
