Conduktív is a term that relates to the ability of a substance or material to conduct or transmit something, most commonly electricity or heat. In the context of electricity, a conduktív material allows electric charge to flow through it easily. Metals like copper, silver, and gold are excellent electrical conduktív materials due to their atomic structure, which features free electrons that can move when an electric field is applied. Conversely, materials with very low electrical conductivity are called insulators, such as rubber or glass.

In terms of heat, conduktív materials transfer thermal energy through direct contact of particles. Similar to electrical conductivity, metals are generally good thermal conduktív materials. This is why cooking utensils are often made of metal; they efficiently transfer heat from the stove to the food. Materials with poor thermal conductivity are called thermal insulators, and they are used to prevent heat transfer, like in building insulation or oven mitts. The term conduktív can also be applied more broadly to describe a tendency for something to spread or flow, though its primary scientific meanings are related to electricity and heat.
