cierpi

Cierpi is the third-person singular present tense form of the Polish verb cierpieć, which means to suffer, endure pain, or tolerate hardship. The verb is imperfective, used to describe ongoing or repeated states rather than a completed action. Cierpi therefore appears in sentences about current or habitual suffering and endurance.

In usage, cierpieć can take constructions such as cierpi na migrenę (he suffers from a migraine) or

Etymology traces cierpieć to older Polish and a common Proto-Slavic heritage related to pain and endurance.
