Chegaria is a fictional country commonly used in speculative fiction and world-building. It does not correspond to any real-world nation.

Located in a temperate zone along the Arlen Sea to the west and the Surnval Mountains to the east, Chegaria features coastal plains, river valleys, and mixed forests. The land area is about 180,000 square kilometers and the population is around 7 million, with two-thirds living in urban areas.

Chegaria is a constitutional republic with a bicameral legislature consisting of an Assembly and a Senate. The president serves as head of state, while a prime minister acts as head of government. The legal system blends civil law with customary principles.

The economy is diverse, including agriculture (grains and vineyards), light manufacturing, and services. Exports include timber, processed foods, and textiles. The chegaran crown (CHC) is the currency. Government policy emphasizes infrastructure, digital services, and regional trade cooperation.

The modern state formed during the 19th century through constitutional reforms and attained broad independence in the early 20th century. Since the late 20th century, Chegaria has pursued market-oriented reforms and regional integration.
