Cestocidal refers to an agent or substance that kills tapeworms. Tapeworms are parasitic flatworms belonging to the class Cestoda, which infect the digestive tract of various animals, including humans. Cestocidal drugs, also known as cestocides, are used in medicine and veterinary practice to treat cestode infections, a condition known as cestodiasis.

The effectiveness of cestocidal agents often relies on their ability to disrupt the tapeworm's physiology without causing significant harm to the host.
