In most of Latin America, where vosotros is uncommon, the corresponding past tense for you all is ustedes causaron (or causaron in full spelling), so causasteis appears mainly in Spain and in contexts that preserve the vosotros form. The meaning remains the same: a completed action in the past that caused a result.
